Modernland Realty Hands Over CSR Assistance of 10 Ambulance Units to the TNI

Jakarta, October 17, 2018 - One of the largest property developers in Indonesia, PT Modernland Realty Tbk., continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting various social activities as a form of the company’s contribution to society and the environment. This commitment is implemented through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, which is carried out on a continuous basis.

Most recently, the Company’s CSR program took the form of handing over ambulance vehicles from PT Modernland Realty Tbk. to the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at the TNI Headquarters (Mabes TNI) in Cilangkap, Jakarta. The vehicle grant was presented by the President Commissioner of PT Modernland Realty Tbk., Luntungan Honoris, to the Commander of the TNI, represented by the Assistant for Logistics to the TNI Commander, Rear Admiral TNI Ir. Bambang Nariyono, M.M.

On that occasion, Modernland Realty handed over a grant of 10 ambulance units, consisting of five Mitsubishi Strada Triton ambulances complete with medical equipment; three Suzuki APV ambulances complete with medical equipment; and three Foton ambulances complete with medical equipment.

“These ambulance vehicles are hereby handed over to the TNI so that they may be distributed and used for the benefit of communities in need. We hope that through this ambulance grant, greater benefits can be provided to the community through CSR activities that are well-targeted and sustainable,” said the President Commissioner of PT Modernland Realty Tbk., Luntungan Honoris.

Meanwhile, the Human Capital Senior Managing Director of PT Modernland Realty Tbk., Dharma Mitra, said that the ambulance grant carried out by Modernland Realty represents the Company’s commitment in carrying out philanthropic activities as part of its CSR implementation. “This is certainly also an honor and serves as one proof of our seriousness in carrying out CSR activities. It is not merely the fulfillment of an obligation, but also the company’s moral responsibility to society,” said Dharma Mitra.

Therefore, Dharma Mitra expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation to the TNI Commander, in this case represented by the Assistant for Logistics to the TNI Commander, Rear Admiral TNI Ir. Bambang Nariyono, M.M., who had been willing to support the smooth running of the event.

Furthermore, Dharma Mitra added that in implementing CSR programs, companies should no longer regard them merely as an obligation or simply as charity, but should also be able to make them a driver of the people’s economy, thereby enabling communities to become more self-reliant groups.

“The principle is to engage and empower the community at the same time, to create synergy while strengthening the people’s economy. Therefore, the greatest possible benefits of CSR should indeed be felt and obtained by the community. Companies should no longer view it solely from a business perspective. Likewise, we hope that the community will truly become the subject, no longer the object. They are the ones who actively play a role in developing their groups. This, in fact, is the key to the success of a CSR program,” Dharma Mitra concluded.
