ModernCikande Launches Modern Halal Valley, Indonesia’s Largest Integrated Halal Industrial Cluster

ModernCikande Industrial Estate (MCIE), developed by PT Modern Industrial Estat, a subsidiary of PT Modernland Realty Tbk., continues to strengthen its position as one of Indonesia’s leading industrial estates.

This is reflected in the rapid development of facilities supporting tenant business activities, attracting both domestic and international investors.

To expand its global reach, the Company has actively marketed the estate to international markets, including China, Taiwan, and South Korea.

A key innovation is the development of Indonesia’s first fully integrated halal industrial zone, aligned with international halal standards across the entire supply chain.

Recognizing the massive potential of the halal industry—Indonesia being the world’s largest halal food consumer market valued at USD197 billion—the Company has launched Modern Halal Valley.

This 500-hectare development is the first and largest integrated halal industrial cluster in Indonesia.

The cluster includes halal supply chain infrastructure, standard factory buildings, industrial land, and logistics facilities.

“We aim to support Indonesia’s vision of building a comprehensive halal ecosystem,” said Pascall Wilson.

The project was officially marked by a groundbreaking ceremony attended by key industry stakeholders and government representatives.

Modern Halal Valley is designed to meet the highest standards in halal compliance, food safety, and environmental sustainability.

It will provide complete infrastructure for production, domestic distribution, and international export.

The development will also include a halal laboratory to facilitate certification processes for both large industries and SMEs.

In the future, the estate is expected to become a global hub for halal industry activities, serving as a gateway for international halal products.

Additionally, the estate supports SMEs by providing scalable production facilities within the halal ecosystem.

Initial development will focus on an international halal logistics zone, including distribution centers and cold storage facilities.

Currently, approximately 40% of the 3,175-hectare estate has been developed, with over 250 companies already operating across various industries.

Strategically located in Cikande, Banten, the estate offers excellent connectivity to major ports, airports, and toll roads, making it highly attractive for industrial investment.
