Serang, August 24, 2018 – ModernCikande Industrial Estate (MCIE), developed by PT Modern Industrial Estat, a subsidiary of PT Modernland Realty Tbk., continues to demonstrate its position as one of Indonesia’s leading industrial estates.

This is reflected in the rapid development of facilities supporting tenant business activities, attracting both domestic and international investors.

The estate continues to expand its reach to international markets, including China, Taiwan, and South Korea.

To facilitate Korean investors, the Company partnered with Modern Bando Co. Ltd. to establish a representative office providing marketing and consultancy services.

The collaboration also explores logistics partnerships with Woosung Logistic and Pusan Newport Co. Ltd. to enhance infrastructure within the estate.

The cooperation was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Pascall Wilson and Sung Gul Son at Modern Bando’s headquarters in Busan, South Korea.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by representatives from Indonesia’s Ministry of Industry, including I Gusti Putu Suryawirawan and Ignatius Warsito.

The event also featured a business forum and gala dinner attended by investors from various sectors such as shipping, logistics, food and beverage, steel, and cosmetics.

Pascall Wilson stated that despite global economic challenges, South Korean investment in Indonesia remains strong, presenting opportunities for further expansion.

“We are committed to providing industrial land and high-quality facilities to support tenant operations in ModernCikande Industrial Estate,” he said.

Growing Investment Appeal

As one of the largest industrial estates in western Jakarta, ModernCikande continues to attract national and multinational companies.

The estate offers strategic access via the Jakarta–Merak toll road and proximity to major ports such as Ciwandan, Cigading, and Merak Mas.

Approximately 40% of its 3,175-hectare area has been developed, with more than 200 companies currently operating within the estate.

The Company also provides comprehensive facilities, including commercial areas, healthcare services, banking, and accommodation through PT Modern Asia Hotel.

In 2018, the Company also introduced Modern Halal Valley, a 500-hectare integrated halal industrial cluster designed to meet global halal standards.

“We aim to contribute to building a comprehensive halal ecosystem in Indonesia,” Pascall Wilson concluded.
