Modern Industrial Estat Targets Taiwanese Investors

PT Modern Industrial Estat, the developer of ModernCikande Industrial Estate (MCIE) in Serang, Banten, is targeting investors from Taiwan.

The subsidiary of PT Modernland Realty Tbk. aims to achieve industrial land sales of 50 hectares in 2018.

“We welcome the visit of 100 delegates from Taiwan to ModernCikande Industrial Estate. We hope this visit will open opportunities for business collaboration and expand the market or joint ventures with Taiwanese investors,” said Pascall Wilson, President Director of PT Modern Industrial Estat, during a welcoming dinner at Hotel Fairmont, Jakarta, on Sunday evening (August 5).

He added that the Company fully supports The 2nd Indonesia–Taiwan Industrial Collaboration Forum (ITICF), organized by Indonesia’s Ministry of Industry at Hotel Fairmont Jakarta on Monday (August 6).

Participants of the forum were also scheduled to visit MCIE on Tuesday (August 7).

Pascall Wilson stated that MCIE is ready to accommodate Taiwanese investors looking to invest in Indonesia.

“We are prepared to support the business activities of Taiwanese investors so that their investments in Indonesia can grow and develop successfully,” he said.

According to him, MCIE is one of the largest industrial estates in western Jakarta and continues to grow as an investment hub for both national and international companies.

The estate is strategically located with direct access to the Jakarta–Merak toll road via the Cikande and Ciujung exits, and is in close proximity to three major ports: Ciwandan, Cigading, and Merak Mas.

Out of the total 3,175 hectares of land, approximately 40% has been developed, with around 1,500 hectares remaining as land bank.

Currently, MCIE hosts more than 200 local and multinational companies across various industries.

The dominant sectors include chemical industries, followed by steel, metal products & smelting, as well as home and building materials.
