Built on a one-hectare land, the pre-launching (product introduction) of the shophouses named The Boulevard was held on August 28, 2015. Out of a total of 41 units, 81 percent, or 33 shophouses, were successfully sold with a sales value of IDR 136 billion.
Three days after the pre-launch event, The Boulevard shophouses have now been sold out. The official launching event will take place on September 12, 2015.
"People are very enthusiastic about these shophouses because they are located in the central commercial area, and this is the last shophouse in Jakarta Garden City," said Andy K. Natanael, President Director of PT Mitra Sindo Sukses, to KOMPAS.com on Sunday (30/8/2015).
The location of these shophouses is precisely across from AEON Mall and next to the Mayapada Hospital, which will also be constructed soon. According to Andy, this is why people are excited to invest in the form of shophouses.
"With such a location, it’s already a profit. In addition, the demand for commercial spaces here (Jakarta Garden City) is still very high, especially with the increasing number of residential inhabitants. Currently, the ratio of residential units to commercial spaces here is still very realistic for expansion," said Andy.
Currently, the total number of shophouses in Jakarta Garden City is only 148 units, while the township has already been inhabited by over 1,100 families. This number will soon increase by over 200 more families who will move into homes in several clusters that have been sold from 2013 to 2015.
"Because of the high demand, we will continue to build more commercial spaces in this residential area. The market potential is huge, so commercial spaces will certainly be very profitable if used for business," said Andy.
The shophouses at The Boulevard are offered with a futuristic concept and limited to only 41 units. Each unit consists of three floors. With a land size of 5x17 meters and a building size of 5x15 meters, these shophouses are marketed at prices starting from IDR 4.125 billion.
Andy mentioned that the company will accelerate the development of the Jakarta Garden City (JGC) project following its success in receiving the The Emerging Township Project award at the 2015 Indonesia Property Award ceremony on Wednesday (19/8/2015). This year, JGC is one of the 34 recipients of the 2015 Indonesia Property Award trophy.
